After months of writing, rewriting, and refining, If I Could Go is ready to take its next step: from page to (small) stage. We're entering an exciting phase of development where the musical, or even select pieces of it, can finally be experienced the way it was meant to be—performed live, with actors, directors, and audiences breathing life into this story.
What We're Looking For
We're actively seeking theatrical partners who are passionate about developing new work. Whether you're a theater company, artistic director, producer, or creative director specializing in new musicals, we'd love to hear from you. If I Could Go is ready for:
- Public readings - Staged or concert readings to introduce audiences to the show
- Workshops - Collaborative development sessions to refine the material
- Developmental productions - Limited runs that allow us to see the show fully realized
We're particularly interested in theaters and organizations that champion new voices. Those interested in stories that blend contemporary themes with mythological/historical roots would be a particularly good match.
Festival Circuit
In addition to seeking direct partnerships, we're actively applying to new musical festivals and development programs. These festivals provide invaluable opportunities to workshop the material, connect with industry professionals, and find the right home for a full production.
If you know of festivals or programs that would be a good fit for If I Could Go, we'd be grateful for the recommendation.
